On March 24, 2023, the Department of Biotechnology of the National University of Pharmacy (Kharkiv) organised the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “PROBLEMS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF MODERN BIOTECHNOLOGY”. Our 3rd year students Anna Okhovych and Anastasiia Tkachyk made oral presentations at this conference. Anna presented the results on the ability of Rhodiola rosea to inhibit α-amylase in vitro as one of the ways to fight obesity. Anastasia spoke about the modulating effects of broccoli sprouts on obesity in mice. The girls took an active part in discussing the results of their own and other conference participants’ research.
The conference also recognized our students’ supervisor, Prof. Maria Bayliak, who had prepared the girls for the conference.
