Our scientists contributed to a collective monograph on the role of chromium in plants and the environment

The book chapter “Molecular Mechanisms of Chromium Tolerance in Plants: A Key Role of Antioxidant Defense” by Maria Bayliak and Viktor Husak was published by Springer. The chapter discusses the key role of antioxidant defense in plants against chromium ions and the molecular mechanisms of plant tolerance to the effects of this ion. It also analyzes the current data on the involvement of redox regulators, in particular Rap2.4a and NPR1, in the regulation of the adaptive antioxidant response of plants to chromium ions.

The publication was carried out within the framework of a project from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (No. 0122U000894).
