At the scientific seminar of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Associate Professor Serhiy Beschasnyi from KSU shared the results of research on gas transmitters

Serhii Beschasnyi, Associate Professor of the Department of Human Biology and Immunology at Kherson State University, presented the findings of his research on gas transmitters at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of PNU. Since June of this year, Serhii Beschastnyi, PhD, Associate Professor from Kherson State University, has been working at our department. As a result of the shelling in Kherson, their laboratory facilities were severely damaged, making it impossible to conduct further research on-site.

Currently, scientists are working on studying the effect of gas transmitters on the myocardium of mice hearts, using the Langendorff method of perfusion of an isolated heart using the carbon monoxide donor CORM-2. The staff of the department is pleased to contribute to the continuation of these studies, realizing how important it is to support scientists in the difficult conditions of war.
