We are pleased to announce that Olha Strilbytska, PhD, Senior Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, has received a grant under the EDUC-WIDE program, funded by the European Union. The aim of this program is to stimulate direct cooperation between partners of the EDUC consortium and promote the development of existing research infrastructures in widening countries, specifically in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Ukraine.
The implementation of the project involves establishing scientific collaboration with international colleagues and carrying out research projects using modern scientific technologies and infrastructures available at partner institutions. Specifically, the experimental part of Olha Strilbytska’s project titled “Analysis of post-traumatic stress disorder gene expression profiles in mice models of neuroinflammation” will be performed at the Genomics Core Facility of Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic).
During the project, genetic factors that influence the susceptibility to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will be identified. This is an important step towards developing more accurate methods for the diagnosis, prediction, and treatment of PTSD. Identifying genetic markers will help better understand the molecular mechanisms of the disease and may lay the foundation for creating personalized approaches to its therapy and prevention.
This project is an important step in strengthening scientific cooperation between Ukraine and European countries, contributing to the development of scientific research and new technologies in our country.
We wish success in the implementation of the scientific project!
