Pupils of Kalush lyceums visited the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology

Today, on 14 April, the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology was visited by 10-11th grade students of Kalush Lyceum №10 and Kalush Bakhmatyuk Lyceum.

An interesting and informative excursion was organised for future applicants by Viktor Husak, Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Biological Sciences.

During the visit, the students had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the modern laboratory of microclonal plant propagation. Viktor Husak told the students in detail about the main stages of work in the laboratory, demonstrated the equipment and explained the importance of biotechnological methods in agriculture and other industries.

Particular attention was paid to the employment prospects for graduates of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Associate Professor Husak spoke about the various career opportunities that are open to students after graduation, including in research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, agriculture and other high-tech industries.

The visit of students from Kalush lyceums was a great opportunity to promote natural sciences among young people and attract talented applicants to study at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. The Department expresses its gratitude to Viktor Husak for organising and conducting an informative excursion.
