‘During the week, I had the opportunity to develop a startup that uses a variety of satellite data for the first time. My team consisted of four people from Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Tor Vergata University of Rome and AGH University in Kraków. During the first day, we discussed various problems and how they could be solved using satellite data. We focused on a rather urgent problem faced by pet owners in summer, namely paw burns due to hot asphalt. Throughout the week, we had workshops to improve our project and learn how to properly demonstrate it to potential investors. On the last day, we presented the startups and selected the three best ones. Our project called PawShield took the honorable first place!’
