Today, Acting Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa met with Director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Phytosanitary Laboratory Oksana Saley. Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology Maria Bailiak also took part in the conversation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation and signed a cooperation agreement. Its goal is to create favorable conditions for the popularization of knowledge in the areas of plant quarantine and protection, seed production, seedling production, and the quality of grain and its products.
Main areas of cooperation:
– Conducting outreach activities among students, teachers and educators to raise awareness in the field of plant quarantine and protection, seed production, seedling production, quality of grain and its processed products;
– organization of educational events, including roundtables, lectures, workshops, meetings with specialists, which will contribute to the professional growth of students and teachers;
– joint scientific research that will help expand the scientific base and improve the level of students’ term papers and master’s theses;
– providing students with the opportunity to undergo training and industrial practice at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Phytosanitary Laboratory to gain practical skills.
The agreement will help expand research and educational opportunities for students and teachers, as well as strengthen ties between the university and agricultural professionals.
