On August 18, 2025, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University hosted the Stefanyk Open Day event for participants of the youth initiative “Iron Squad.” As part of the program, the University presented its scientific and practical opportunities as well as modern educational pathways.
The Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology was represented by Assistant Oleh Demianchuk and Leading Specialist of the Biotechnology Training Laboratory Viktoriia Hurza.
During the demonstration block, a series of biochemical experiments were presented, including:

experiments with red (blue) cabbage pigments reacting to pH changes;

a reaction for the detection of vitamin C;

fluorescence experiments.
These activities provided participants with an insight into modern methods of biochemical research and demonstrated the practical potential of studying at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
