The experimental part of the practical training ended, which was carried out by PhD students of our department Myroslava Vatashchuk, Victoria Hurza and Nadiya Stefanyshyn. Practical training took place at the Department of Neurophysiology of the University of Tubingen (Germany). “Blended Kurs: ” Integrative Biowissenschaften ” was given by DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – German Academic Exchange Service) for Financing Programs” Ukraine Digital – Studienerfolg in Krisenzeiten sichern».
During a practical training from November to December 2022, PhD students have performed part of the experimental work under the guidance of senior colleagues, in particular: Professor Olga Garashchuk (Director of the Institute of Physiology of Tubingen University (Germany), Professor Volodymyr Lushchak and Professor, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Maria Bayliak. PhD students determined markers of oxidative stress and energy metabolism indicators in murine tissue samples (liver, brain, kidneys) from animals fed with hypocaloric diet.
In addition, PhD students, together with other staff of the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tubingen (Germany), visited a performance in support of Ukraine, which was organized by the Ukrainian diaspora in Tubingen. Also, they joined the initiative of the volunteer team (natives from Ukraine) “Tübingen Hilft Ukraine” (https://tuebingen-hilft-ukraine.de/en/) that cooperates with Ukrainian logistics companies.
We are grateful for their opportunities and experiences, thanks to partners from Germany, as well as for support and assistance to the incredible team of staff of the Department of Neurophysiology of the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tubingen!
