Our scientists took part in the Symposium between the University of East England and the Precarpathian National University

On December 14, an online symposium was held between the Precarpathian National University and the University of East England as part of the “Twinning” initiative.
During the introductory speech, the first vice-rector of the Precarpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, noted the relevance of such an initiative and the importance of building a long-term strategic partnership with colleagues from both universities. She also spoke about the main achievements of our university, key projects and available opportunities.
Rector of the University of East England, David Richardson, expressed support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. He also noted that the university is ready for cooperation and partnership development, as a result of which joint research and innovation projects should be created.
More than 140 participants from both universities took part in the event. During the discussions, the main opportunities for cooperation in the context of research projects and academic exchanges were outlined. The participants were invited to go to one of the three discussion sessions, where scientific ideas and common points of contact between our scientists were discussed in more detail. In the “Human Health and Natural Environments” section, scientists from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology – prof. Volodymyr Lushchak and Associate prof. Oleh Lushchak.
Colleagues from both universities confirmed readiness for the next stage in the development of cooperation. At the final stage of the symposium, the moderators of the sections summarized the received ideas and outlined the next steps in the partnership. Partnership within the framework of the “Twinning” initiative shows the ability of representatives of education to unite, support each other and improve.
