Today, the Department had the honor of welcoming renowned Ukrainian designers Maryna Loseva, founder of the Ukrainian Fashion Education Group and author of the book series “Fashion Theory”, and Daria Tsapenko, an artist specializing in biodesign. The Head of the Department, Professor Maria Bayliak, Associate Professor Dmytro Gospodaryov, and third-year students Olha Nykolaichuk and Diana Sabunchak engaged in a discussion about the latest trends in biodesign and the Department’s potential contributions to advancing this field in Ukraine.
Professor Bayliak, along with students Olha and Diana, shared insights into their success in developing bacterial cellulose films and highlighted the unique properties of this material. Associate Professor Gospodaryov showcased samples of untreated bacterial cellulose and fungal mycelium films currently available at the Department.
