IV All-Ukrainian festival of education innovations «STEAM-HUMANS FOR PEACE» had started on 24th of October for students. The opening of the festival was performed by rectors of local universities, mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv and other invited guests. During performance students and Steam specialists were presenting their achievements in all various fields. The main topic of most speeches was useful tools for our country in war.
Our department did not stay away. PhD student Oleh Demyanchuk and undergraduate Vladyslav Berezovsky, under the guidance of Professor Volodymyr Lushchak, spoke at the opening of festival. Our scientists presented the main scientific interests of our department and shared some knowledge about the importance of biochemistry and biotechnology for humanity in the XXI century. They also presented a new direction of work that is just beginning. It is a job that should help in the treatment of post -traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that develops in people who have experienced certain traumatic events – such as accidents or violence. PTSD will massively encounter our society through the war started by Russia and our specialists are preparing to study and solve this problem.
