From 27th to 29th June 2023, the International Science Summit and Scientific Symposium «Fundamental Life Sciences Meets Climate, Environment, and Sustainability» was held in Paris (France).
The event was organized by the Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) and was attended by ministers from around the world, leading scientists, politicians, and other stakeholders. Uliana Semaniuk, a scientist from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, received a travel grant from HFSPO to attend the symposium.
It should be noted that in 2022, the International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) launched the Scientists for Scientists (S4S) Initiative to assist Ukrainian researchers affected by the war in continuing their research at host institutions worldwide. Since then, HFSPO has supported the proposals of 14 Ukrainian scientists and created internships abroad in the laboratories and institutes of active HFSPO laureates. Among the recipients of HFSPO support is our scientist, Uliana Semaniuk.
