Scientist Olha Strilbytska visited the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics

Scientist Olha Strilbytska visited the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics from 16th June to 15th July 2023. Olha Strilbytska, a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, visited the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg (Germany) as part of the project “Regulation of gene expression to support healthy aging and longevity.” The scientist joined the research group of Professor Nicola Iovino, thanks to a grant from the EIRENE Max Planck-Ukraine Cooperation & Mobility Grant program of the Max Planck Society. The research carried out within the project aims to study the epigenetic mechanisms of lifespan and metabolism regulation in the fruit fly Drosophila. The duration of the grant is three years. This project is a continuation of many years of research by the research team led by Oleh Lushchak, Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, in which Olha works.

We sincerely rejoice at the researcher’s success and wish her even more working trips to improve her professional skills and share experiences!
