Today, the department held a scientific seminar at which third-year biochemistry student Yelyzaveta Mysliuk reported on her six-month internship at the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tübingen (Germany) under the guidance of Professor Olga Garaschuk.
During the internship, the student got acquainted with many modern methods of neurophysiological research in mice. In particular, she learned to work with a two-photon laser microscope, prepare samples for cryofreezing, perform an immunohistochemistry protocol, visualize and analyze the immunohistochemistry data using appropriate software. The student’s internship was funded by a grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the project “Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis”. The project was initiated and led by Professor Olga Garaschuk, Director of the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tübingen.
