Student Yelyzaveta Mysliuk completed a research internship in Germany as part of the DAAD programme

Today, the department held a scientific seminar at which third-year biochemistry student Yelyzaveta Mysliuk reported on her six-month internship at the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tübingen (Germany) under the guidance of Professor ‪Olga Garaschuk‬.

During the internship, the student got acquainted with many modern methods of neurophysiological research in mice. In particular, she learned to work with a two-photon laser microscope, prepare samples for cryofreezing, perform an immunohistochemistry protocol, visualize and analyze the immunohistochemistry data using appropriate software. The student’s internship was funded by a grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the project “Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis”. The project was initiated and led by Professor ‪Olga Garaschuk‬, Director of the Institute of Physiology of the University of Tübingen.
