Biochemistry student Bozhena Luniv joins an international team of researchers at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw

Since the beginning of September, Bozhena Luniv, a master’s student of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, has joined the research team of the Center for Metabolic Diseases at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw (Poland). The master’s student is working in the research group of Dr. Grzegorz Sumara while continuing her studies remotely at her native university.

It is also worth noting that last year, as a 4th-year student, Bozhena Luniv completed a six-month internship at the same university in Warsaw as part of the EMBO (European Molecular Biology Organization) grant program, ‘EMBO Solidarity with Ukraine.’ The student demonstrated exceptional competence, mastering the basic principles of working with most of the methods practiced abroad in the laboratories of her Alma mater (at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Precarpathian National University). Bozhena’s diligence, teamwork, and theoretical and practical training enabled her to continue working as part of Dr. Grzegorz Sumara’s research group.
